Summer Term 2021

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Welcome back to all our Pupils and their families to our final term of the year at Bedlinog Community Primary School!

It has certainly been another unusual year for us, with 2 disrupted terms, but we are pleased to see that the rates of COVID-19 are improving in Wales and that, before long, we hope to be able to resume some of our usual school activities. We really do hope that summer term will bring with it a sense of normality to our Pupils but, that being said, we still encourage everyone to follow Government guidance when coming to and leaving school, and our usual COVID-19 measures will unfortunately continue to remain in place until further notice. Full details about these measures can be found on our school website.

I trust that over the Easter holiday period you have had chance to spend quality time with your children. I’m sure that our Pupils have been taking part in lots of lovely Easter treats during the break. I know that they will all be given an opportunity to share what they have been up to as part of their class sessions when returning to school this week.

Whilst many of our usual Summer Term activities continue to be postponed, on our website you will find a list of some dates of activities taking place this term that we are able to carry on with.  As always these are subject to change and will depend on the public health situation at the time. We will inform you if any dates are required to be changed.  This term we will also be hosting online Parents/Carers Meetings as Class Teachers are still unable to meet with Parents/Carers in person. Further details of these online meetings will be shared with you in the coming weeks, and we look forward to discussing your child’s progress with you.

We will again be promoting good attendance this term. Whilst we appreciate that school has been disrupted for our Pupils, it was fantastic to see so many of our Pupils back in school last term. We hope that all of our Pupils will continue to have great attendance over the summer term in order to make the most of their learning.

Once again I would like to thank you for your understanding and support of our school at this time, and look forward to continuing to work alongside you and your child as we continue to provide an education for all our pupils that allows them to ‘Reach for the Stars!’
