Medicine at School

At Bedlinog Community Primary School we understand that there may be times where a child may be experiencing an illness that requires them to take medication. Whilst our aim is to limit the need for administering medicines at School, we also appreciate that there may be instances where this is not possible. Please note that the school will administer medicines in the following circumstances only:

Where medication is prescribed more than 3 times a day (pharmacist label must be on the medicine/box);
Where the medication is lifelong and life dependent (a Healthcare plan will also be required);
Where permission is provided

Please note we will NOT administer off the shelf medications (e.g. Calpol, Neurofen)
